Boston Marathon tragedy

Anything I post today seems insignificant when compared to the tragedy at the Boston Marathon. One of my husband’s friends ran the race.
She’s safe and unharmed. There are hundreds who aren’t as lucky as she is. My thoughts and prayers to all those effected by this event. It has made some more determined to run in show of support.
As I run my upcoming half-marathon, I know I’ll think upon this event. After all, the half-marathon is called Race for Hope.
Hope for the healing of wounds, the healing of hearts. The hope that next year’s Boston Marathon is a celebration of the human spirit.
